Logo creation and logo design

Summary:
*Logo is the beginning of your branding
*Logo and logotype are not the same thing
*Market research is a mandatory step
*Creating a solution is a process that should not be rushed
*In addition to the logo, you also get "extras"
A logo is a graphic sign, symbol or emblem used to help identify and recognize your business and/or brand. As such, a logo is a communication object that promotes the messages, values and products to which it is attached, and becomes stronger over time.
In the technical sense, a difference is made between a logo and a logo - where a logo represents a set of shapes, lines and abstract or figurative illustrations that make up a unique symbol, a logo contains the name of a company or brand, as a mandatory identifier stylized as needed.
It is not necessary to have both a logo and a logo - some companies rely almost exclusively on a logo in the form of a brand name, and some exclusively on their created symbol. Even so, it is considered the best option to have both that you can use as needed for different analog and digital needs and remain flexible when it comes to trends and changes in the market.
The logo is the first, and very important, step towards branding your business, from which all further visual marketing guidelines originate.
LOGO CREATION PROCESS
The process of creating a logo begins with an inquiry. We try to carefully listen to each client, their wishes, as well as collect all the unique ideas and symbolism related to their business or brand. It is desirable to have direct examples of logos that the client likes - the goal is not to copy, but to understand the client, their needs and desired direction in as much detail as possible.
After that, we conduct detailed market research where we collect information and directions dictated by the market and existing businesses - industry "rules", trends, colors, shapes, how to stand out...
Armed with all the information, we begin the process of sketching and drawing logos, proposals and variations with a pencil. Usually it's really a lot of different ideas, but in that sea of shapes and illustrations, quality solutions that best suit the task can be seen. For each client, we choose a minimum of three solutions that are finalized - there is no need to limit creativity.
The physical element of illustration and the possibility to see with the naked eye something that until recently was a bunch of letters in brief and enamel is immeasurable. The selected solutions are drawn digitally and packaged in a presentation that is sent to the client for review - including the selected logo, the story and explanation behind each proposal, possible variations and a mockup (a simulated representation of the appearance of the logo applied to different materials).
The client has the right to corrections and refinements, depending on the agreed conditions and price, and finally chooses one of the offered logos to be finalized. That logo is saved in the highest possible resolution and in several of the most popular file formats, so that the client immediately has all print and digital versions available.
In addition to the "main" form of the logo, the client also receives several variations (logo/logotype), a black and white version for the needs of stamps and use on contrasting surfaces, as well as a short Branding Guideline. This short document lists in detail information about the logo, the colors used (CMYK, RGB, Pantone) as well as the names of the fonts used.
That's it!
The client has a professional logo and the first step towards further branding has been completed. Whether it's a website, social networks, printed and stationery, product design or anything else, the guidelines and look set when creating a logo is transferred to everything.
